HUNTSVILLE — After trailing by as much as 6-2, Scott rallied for an 11-6 win over Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy here Monday afternoon.

MPCA scored three runs in the first two innings, then added three more in the fourth before the Highlanders got on track. Scott rallied to tie the game at six through five innings, then had a five-run sixth inning to seal the deal.

A two-run double by Aaron Carson had allowed the Highlanders to pull close to MPCA, 3-2. Billy Hall got aboard with a single and Cameron Trammell walked before Carson's two-out double scored both.

That is the way the game stood until the top of the fourth, when MPCA scored three more runs to go ahead 6-2.

The Highlanders grabbed the momentum in the bottom half of the inning with two runs of their own, however. Dylan Lyons and Tyler Strunk both hit singles, then both scored on a two-run single by Jordan Puckett.

One inning later, Scott tied the game when Jon Hamblin and Austin Stephens each scored.

The fifth inning was when things really got interesting, however. Strunk got aboard and scored his second run of the night on an RBI double by Carson. Two batters later, Stephens hit a two-run double to score Puckett and Carson, and the Highlanders led 9-6. Stephens and Hamblin would score as well, giving Scott an 11-6 lead that it would not relinquish.
