Billy Joe Blevins, Jr., 59, of Oneida, passed away April 1, 2014, at his home.

Born in Scott County, September 10, 1954, he was he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lawrence and Pearl Blevins, and Claude and Vessie Carson; uncle and aunts: J. D. Blevins, Ruth Burress, Flonnie Phillips, and Barbara King; and in-laws:  Jim New, and Greta Reed.

He had made a profession of faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his parents: Rev. Bill Blevins, Sr. and Lorene Carson Blevins; wife: Ginger New Blevins of Oneida; son:  Billy Joe Blevins, III; daughters:  Jacqueline Adams and Lachrisa Adams; grandchildren: Tyler, Gretta, Gage and Caleb; sisters:  Kathy (Junior) Terry and Donna (Angie) Stephens; brother:  Bob (Pam) Blevins; nieces and nephews: Jodi Lowe, Kerri Harness, Jared Terry, Justin Terry, Kelly Marcum, Nathan Blevins, and David Blevins; special cousin, Jim (Jacqueline) Phillips; life-long friend, Norman Honeycutt; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted April 4, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne King and Bro. Larry Jackson officiating. Music was provided by Pine Creek Youth and Steve New. Interment was conducted April 5, at Marcum-Kidd Cemetery.
