An Oneida father and son were arrested on theft charges Sunday after allegedly taking more than $1,000 worth of items from a residence in the Bear Creek neighborhood.

Christopher D. Hixson, 42, and his son, Justin L. Hixson, 21, were both arrested by Oneida Police Department officer Steven Ward Sunday afternoon.

According to a warrant filed by Ward, the men stole a variety of tools and power equipment from the residence of a Bear Creek man, then left their get-away vehicle and some of the stolen items in plain sight at their residence a short distance away.
