Kenneth Edward Goad, 81, of Robbins, passed away March 8, 2014, at home with family and friends at his side.
Born in Robbins, February 14, 1933, he was preceded in death by his parents, Reason and Iva Dishman Goad; son, Ricky Edward Goad; daughter, Elizabeth (Angie) Clark; grandson, Cody Joe Bowling; brothers: Harold Lee, Carl Ray, and Reason Glen Goad; sisters: infants, Kathleen and Thelma Goad, Velma Young, Lucille Asberry, Barbara Jean Conners, and Evelynn Brewster.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna Cornelius Thomas Goad of Robbins; daughter: Joann Bowling of Robbins; sister, Wilma Joann Bertram of Robbins; nieces: Peggy Joann Claiborn and Tammi Lynn Hermann; adopted son, Bobby Conners; step-granddaughter: Heather Elizabeth; several other nieces and nephews; brotherly companion, Wayne Goad and family; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted March 13, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Young and Bro. Chris Conatser officiating. Music was provided by Sister Geneva Summers and Sister Jane Sexton. Interment followed at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
