HUNTSVILLE — With less than a month remaining before April 3’s qualifying deadline for the August general election in Scott County, the races that are attracting the most attention by far are the commission races in Scott County’s seven civil districts.

Most county office holders are running without opposition — the exceptions thus far being county mayor and sheriff — but every incumbent commissioner faces opposition in his or her respective district.

According to Scott County administrator of elections Gabe Krahn, the following candidates have already submitted qualifying paperwork for commission seats:
