Oneida’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen Thursday approved on second and final reading two ordinances, both of which are amendments to the town’s existing zoning regulations.

Ordinance 814 establishes specific zoning districts where alcohol manufacturing facilities (distilleries and micro-breweries, included) will be allowed to set up, and Ordinance 815 lists specific regulations which have to be met before being allowed to set up.

Both were approved by 3-0 votes (cast by Mayor Jack E. Lay, Alderman Cecil Anderson and Alderman Linda Lay). Aldermen David Lowe and Sharon Miller were absent.
