An Oneida man was arrested early Tuesday morning in connection with a non-fatal stabbing at a Bank Street residence.

Rowdy Warren, 27, of an Acres Lane address in Oneida, was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing another man during an argument over a borrowed movie.

According to an arrest warrant filed by Oneida Police Department officer Brett Bond, Warren “removed a knife from his pocket and stabbed (the victim) several times” during the course of the fight, resulting in several cut and stab wounds to the victim’s left arm, left side and back.

Allegedly, when Bond arrived to take Warren into custody, Warren said that he “knew he was going to jail because he had done something stupid.”

The victim’s cut wounds were minor; he refused medical treatment from Scott County Ambulance Service EMTs who were dispatched to the scene of the disturbance.
