Dolores Griffith Queener, 84, of Knoxville, formerly of Scott County, passed away February 10, 2014, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Scott County, June 4, 1929, she was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Mary West Ellis; husbands: James ìPeanutî Griffith, and John Queener; sisters: Della Keeton, Lucille Asher, and Rose Williams; and brothers, Bob and Dewey Ellis.

She was a member of New River Missionary Baptist Church and a past member of the Sunshine Chapter #279 Order of the Eastern Star-Robbins.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Delores) Griffith of Colorado, and Jimmey (Rebecca) Griffith of Knoxville; grandchildren: Michelle Lovins, Sean Griffith, Shannon Griffith, and Brooke Griffith; great-grandchildren: Graycyn, Hudson, Keirra, and Ethan; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted February 15, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kermit Phillips and Bro. Earnest Phillips officiating. Music was provided by Charlotte Phillips. Interment followed at Carson Memorial Park.
