James Harold King, 71, passed away February 4, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Oneida, June 10, 1942, he was preceded in death by his parents, Everett  and Bonita Elmore King; father- and mother-in-law, Charlie and Bertha Yancey Thompson; infant brothers, Everett Jerry and Phillip Cordell King; niece, Heather King Thompson; and infant nephew, Dalmer Jene Phillips.

He was a member of Paint Rock Baptist Church  and retired from Arvin Industries after 25 years and from Tecumseh. He enjoyed his grandkids and was known by everyone as ìPappyî.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nella Fay Thompson King; son: Kenny King (Jennifer); daughter, Sondra Lawson (Ronnie); granddaughters: Leslie Clayton, and Maddie and Olivia King, all of Tupelo, Miss.; great-grandson, Cayson; sister, Cosetta Phillips; brother, Charles King of Huntsville; sister, Raydene Boyatt (Everett) of Oneida; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.

Funeral service was held Saturday in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Jim West and Bro. Brandon Thompson officiating. Music was provided by the Brimstone Boys. Interment followed at Sexton Memorial Gardens.
