Ethel Honeycutt Goad, 88, of Oneida, passed away January 30, 2014.

Born in Scott County, Tenn., on January 16, 1926, she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Louisa Jones Honeycutt; husband, Willard ìBillî Goad; two sons, Gene Marshall Goad and Harold Goad; one daughter, Lorraine Dudgeon; two brothers, Edgar and Chester Honeycutt; and two sisters, Irene Honeycutt and Burlene Griffith.

She was a member of the Oneida Church of God.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Norris and husband, Inman; three sisters: Lillian Hamby, Vivian Troxetel and Kathlene Golden; two brothers, Arthur and Lester Honeycutt; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one special niece, Stella Byrge.

Funeral service was conducted February 2 in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Jeffers and Bro. Sammy Yancey officiating. Music was provided by Allen Carson. Interment followed in the Slick Rock Cemetery.
