HUNTSVILLE — No one was home and no one was injured when a fire destroyed a two-story home near here early Tuesday morning.

An alarm alerted 911 dispatchers of the house fire, at a residence located at 380 Old Buffalo Road off Annadell Road east of Huntsville, at approximately 1:35 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Paint Rock Volunteer Fire Department was first dispatched to the scene, with a firefighter notifying dispatchers minutes later that the home was completely engulfed.

East 63 Volunteer Fire Department was summoned to the scene when a manpower call was issued, followed by a third alarm for Huntsville Fire Department.

The home was completely destroyed by the fire and collapsed by 2 a.m.

The home’s owner, Mike Potter, was in Nashville and was notified by phone shortly after the blaze began.
