HUNTSVILLE — County Commission’s Community Development Committee Monday went on record in support of the creation of an Audit Committee to oversee financial transactions and ethics.

That action, which will require the adoption of a resolution by the full commission, was proposed by Community Development Committee Chairman Paul Strunk during Monday evening’s monthly committee work session at the Scott County Office Building.

Strunk said creation of such an oversight committee is not mandated by the state, but will this year be among the requirements of the county continuing to remain a Three-Star Community.
