Maxine Terry, 82, of Gallatin, formerly of Scott County, passed away January 11, 2014, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

Born in Oneida, June 17, 1931, she was preceded in death by her parents, Segal and Nova Terry; husband, Leslie Lee Terry; infant sons, Arlie Joseph and William Lee Terry; brother, Grover Terry; and sister, Justeen Phillips.

Her greatest passion was music. She was a colorful character, a charitable Christian, a loving wife, and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her children: Brenda Kay Crockett and husband, Doug, Steve Terry, Carolyn Street and husband, John, Audrey Terry Phillips, and Joel Segal Terry and wife, Yvonne; grandchildren:, Leslie Slaven, Wade Terry, Travis Phillips, Brandon Terry, Yelena Terry, James Terry, and Julliana Terry;  numerous great-grandchildren, sisters: Judy Smith, Leda Burress, Velma Caldwell, and Vera Hancock; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 p.m., Friday, January 17, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 18, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Robert King and Bro. Bradley Kidd officiating. Interment will follow at Litton Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
