Harold Harless, 78, of the Capital Hill community, passed away January 4, 2014, with his family by his side.

Born August 4, 1935, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rosevelt and Ethel Harness; wife, Floetta Harness; infant sister, Eula Harness; and in-laws: Hubert and Letha Day, Remon Harness, Lushion Day, and Betty Williams.

He was a long-time member of Bull Creek United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons: Rickie Lee Harness and wife, Jeannene, and Scotty Eugene Harness and wife, Loretta (Sis), all of the Capital Hill community; daughter, Mary Etta Harness and husband, Rodney, of the Capital Hill community; grandchildren: Cody, Blake, Preston, Lacy, Dylan, Eve, Shawn, and Jordan; great-grandchildren: Elijah, Kamdyn, and Coven; brother, Ray Harness and wife, Hazel, of LaFollette; sisters: Grace Harness of Hazzard, Ky., Hazel and Robert Wright of the Ditney Trail community, and Juanita Adkins, and Ruby and J.R. Massengale, all of Huntsville; special brother-in-law, Dillsome Williams of the Straight Fork community; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted January 7, at Bull Creek United Baptist Church with Bro. Dudley Harness, Bro. J.R. Massengale, and Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Music was provided by the Lloyd Family. Interment followed at Bull Creek Cemetery.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
