Scott High's Summer Chambers was named to the Tennessee Sportswriters Association's all-state girls' soccer team for Class A-AA, the association announced Monday.

Chambers was one of six defenders from across the state, and one of 13 players total named to the all-state team.

Chambers played a key role in one of Scott's most successful soccer seasons in years. The Lady Highlanders defeated Alcoa on penalty kicks in the District 4-A/AA tournament before falling in the semifinals.

Other defenders named to the all-state team included Knox Catholic's Ashley Hickman, CAK's Melissa Garvey, Liberty's Alana Byrd, Notre Dame's Madi Robbins and Knox Catholic's Charlotte Sauter.

CAK and Knox Catholic, the top two teams in District 4-A/AA, dominated the all-state team. Other players receiving all-state honors included Maggie Piety (CAK, goalkeeper) and Molly Dwyer (Catholic, midfielder).

Other midfielders on the all-state team included White House's Kate Carney, Greeneville's Lynae Wilder, Caroline Conley; Notre Dame's Mackenzie Nedeau and Clarksville Academy's Mallory Burman.

Forwards on the team included Rockwood's Katy Cisson, Jackson Christian's Amelia Grizzell, Fairview's Erika Suhrbier, Montgomery Central's Cierra Adams, West Greene's Cheyenne Upton, Fairview's Morgan Mooney and CPA's Madi Andres.
