Bertha Darlene Silcox Lawson, 47, of Pioneer, passed away December 25, 2013, at her home.
Born in Scott County, December 27, 1965, she was preceded in death by her mother, Kathern Kirby Silcox; grandparents: Oscar and Janis Silcox, and Harlo and Elsie Kirby; and father-in-law, Shirley Lawson.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, loved singing in church, and being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Edmond Lawson; son: Craig Aaron Lawson; father, Arvel Silcox and step-mother, Sharon; brothers: Wendell Silcox and wifeb Sandy, Michael Silcox and wife, Gina, Bruce Silcox, Larry Silcox, Chris Silcox, and John Silcox; sisters: Patsy Phillips and husband, Ladd, Paula Byrge, Teresa Silcox, Hope Grooms and husband, Johnny, Stacey Newport an husband, Brandon, and MaKayla West and husband, Tommy; mother-in-law, Janetta Lawson; brothers- and sister-in-law: Ralph and Peggy, Keith Lawson, and Lynetta Lay; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted December 28, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Carlie Duncan, Bro. Ricky Sharp, Bro. Ron Bruce, and Bro. Michael Silcox officiating. Music was provided by the Antioch Singers, Jan Scates, and the Young Testifiers. Interment followed at Norma Cemetery.
Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville had charge of arrangements.
