LAKE CITY, Tenn. — Claiborne County shot at a blistering 60 percent pace here Thursday to dispatch Oneida, 59-46, in the opening day of play at the Anderson County Christmas Classic.

The injury-riddled Indians held their own with Claiborne in the first half, playing to a 32-32 halftime deadlock, mostly behind some hot shooting of their own. Oneida hit eight of its first 13 shots from 3-point range, and finished the first half 8-of-15.
