For the first half of the first quarter, Oneida gave Clarkrange all the Lady Buffaloes wanted and then some Friday. But then Clarkrange's smothering pressing defense and dominant post game took over, powering the perennial Class 1A powerhouse to a 64-44 win over the Lady Indians.
Despite being saddled with foul troubles for much of the game, Clarkrange's Kara Meadows scored 25 points to lead all scorers. Fellow post player Brittany Cooper scored 14.
