William Harrison Honeycutt, 89, passed away December 7, 2013, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott.
Born May 26, 1924, he was preceded in death by his parents, Harm Joseph and Ida Bell Jones Honeycutt; wife, Othola Jeffers Honeycutt; sons: Ira, Harrison, Donald, and Roger Honeycutt; and grandson, Thomas Lee Honeycutt.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended Annadell Baptist Church. After 35 years in the Forestry Division, he retired from the State of Tennessee.
He is survived by is daughter, Lillian Smith; grandchildren: Harrison Honeycutt, Jr., Charles Honeycutt, Rebecca Watson, Tracy Hall, Clinton Honeycutt, Clayton Honeycutt, Melissa Stephens, and Heather Shannon; 13 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, brother, James Honeycutt; sisters: Goldie Jeffers and Ina Crowley; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted December 10, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Ellis officiating. Music was provided by David Duncan. Graveside service was to have been conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, at Botts Cemetery.
West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
