WINFIELD — A Kentucky man is facing charges, and additional charges could be pending, after Scott County Sheriff’s Department officers discovered an active meth lab here Monday afternoon.

Joseph Madden, 38, of Somerset, Ky., was residing at a Jess Lane residence in Winfield. There, a Sheriff’s Department team consisting of chief deputy Ronnie Phillips, drug agent Kris Lewallen, and deputies Floyd Sexton and Lisa Anderson, allegedly discovered a large meth lab with the drug actively being cooked when they raided the home Monday afternoon.
