It did not take Oneida standout Cole West long to transition back into basketball shape.

Seven days after completing his football career in the second round of the Class 2A state playoffs, West scored 23 first half points before resting most of the second half and finishing with 25 as the Indians defeated Cosby 67-45 Friday.

On a night when coach Rusty Yaden dipped deep into his bench, the Indians rotated 12 players and were still able to keep Cosby at bay.
