Bertie Alta Reynolds Norris, 85, of Helenwood, passed away November 1, 2013, at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Born in Scott County, June 22, 1928, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Calvin and Princess Thomas Phillips; husband, James Edward Reynolds; children: James Daniel Dobbs, Wilda Naomi Lawson, and Billy Ray Reynolds; brothers: Odell, Osbie, and Theron Phillips; and sisters: Ovie Sally Phillips and Elizabeth Richardson.

She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, and loved to sew, quilt, and cook.

She is survived by her children: James Dobbs, Richard Reynolds and wife, Barbara, and Shirley Reynolds and husband, Wayne; grandchildren: Chris, Nichole, Lisa, Kevin, Devon, Dusty, April, Hayden, Jaiden and Kaidence; 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, daughter-in-law, Bernice Reynolds; sisters: Wilda Williams of Helenwood, and June Parnell of Knoxville; special friend, Denise Terry; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted November 3, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Don Kidd and Bro. Bobby Joe Williams officiating. Music was provided by the Muse Family. Interment followed at Carson Memorial Park.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida had charge of arrangements.
