HELENWOOD — A Scott County man suffered only minor injuries after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into private property in a predawn accident here Saturday morning, but he faces a legal challenge after being arrested following the accident.

Heath Brummett, 21, of Helenwood, was arrested by Scott County Sheriff's Department officers after crashing his late-model Dodge pickup truck at 12915 Scott Highway at around 5 p.m. Saturday morning.

According to reports, Brummett's south-bound pickup left the highway and clipped a utility pole, breaking the pole in half, before striking a glancing blow off a large tree and proceeding down an embankment into the front lawn of a residence.
