HUNTSVILLE — The Town of Huntsville’s revitalization project at the Flat Creek Park is making progress, but town officials continue to stress that the community’s buy-in through donations and other assistance is essential.
Town recorder Wendy Buttram said Thursday that bleachers have been purchased, a sidewalk has been poured and a new playground is scheduled to be delivered this week for installation as part of the project, which also calls for resurfacing the basketball court with new goals and a new fence.
Since a walking trail at the park has been completed, visitation to the facility has picked up, Buttram said, making the revitalization project even more important.
