Patricia (Pat) Phillips Mays, 74, of Oneida, passed away on October 23, 2013, at her home.
Born in Scott County, January 29, 1939, she was preceded in death by her parents, Tobe (Obelee) and Lona Rosser Phillips, and Roscoe and Ruby Kidd (who raised her); father- and mother-in-law, Bill and Agnes Mays; brother, Jack Phillips; and brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sue Brooks.
She was a member of First Baptist Church-Oneida.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Kenny Mays of Oneida; children: Tobey Mays and wife, Janet, Kenia Bowling and husband, Mark, and Patrick Mays and wife, Vickie; grandchildren: Maci Mays, Colbey, Nate and Aaron Bowling, and Hogan and Emily Mays; brother-in-law and sister, Dr. Tom Stanley and wife, Dorothy; niece and nephews: Henrietta Upchurch and husband, Roger, Jody Brooks, and Steven Stanley; special friends: Rella Burchfield, Dot Harris Johnson, Virginia Bilbrey, and her dedicated family of employees at Tobeís Motel and Restaurant; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted October 26, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Kazee and Dr. Doug White officiating. Interment followed at Carson Memorial Park.
Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
