Robert E. "Bob" Watters, 68, of Oneida, passed away October 19, 2013, at North Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Pine Knot, Kentucky, May 21, 1945, he was preceded in death by his parents, Hasten and Flora Strunk Watters; wife, Brenda West Watters; grandmother who raised him, Maggie (King) Strunk; granddaughter, Maggie Kristine Watters; uncles, Delbert and Elmer Strunk; and brother, Ronnie Daugherty.

He was a strip miner, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son, Robert Dale Watters of Burnside, Ky.; daughters: Lisa Perkins and husband, Anthony, of Pine Knot, Ky., Annette Stephens of Burnside, Ky., and Shonda Wise of Hamilton Co., Ohio; grandchildren: Brittany Garcia, Casie Torres, Jasper Stephens, Robert Dale Watters, Jr., Sasha Rae Watters, Hasten Cain Watters, Breanna LaShae Perkins, Katie Pridemore, Jeremy Pridemore, Kerry Ledford Stanforth, and Bret Ledford, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kadence, Selena, Isaiah, Israel, JJ, Lilyanna, Isaiah, and Zoey; special friend, Roselee Trammell of Strunk, Ky.; brothers: Merle Daugherty, and Gerald Daugherty, both of Danville, Ky.; sister, Patricia Ann Clark of Texas; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was October 23, at McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Cook officiating. Interment followed at Silerville Cemetery.

McCreary County Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
