Ellaree Phillips Yancey, 96, of Cherry Fork community, passed away October 12, 2013, at Oneida Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oneida.

Born in Oneida, February 14, 1917, she was preceded in death by her parents, George W. Chambers and Viney Chambers Honeycutt; first husband, Odell Phillips; second husband, Alvis Yancey; children: Wanda Lou Phillips, Glen Phillips, Doyle Phillips, and Charles Phillips; and sister, Laklee Gibson.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her children: Barbara Simpson and husband, Dane, Loyie Phillips and wife, Olene, and Roscoe Phillips, all of Helenwood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, special granddaughter, Pamela Foster; special niece, Sharon Blackburn; special friends at the nursing home; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted October 15, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Rev. David L. Walker officiating. Interment followed at Cotton Cemetery.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida had charge of arrangements.
