Forest Lee "Foss" Lambert, 85, of Oneida, passed away September 15, 2013, at his home.
Born in Oneida, October 7, 1927, he was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bryant and Alta Watters Lambert; wife, Bette Wright Lambert; son, Thomas Richard ìDickî Lambert; brothers: Bobby, Tuttle, and Tommy Lambert; and father- and mother-in-law, John Kater and Sarrah Stailey Wright.
He was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church; loved yard work and gardening, joking with people, but most of all he loved his wife, whom he adored.
He is survived by his sons: Steve Lambert and wife, Sherry, and Eric Lambert, all of Oneida; and John Lambert and wife, Guinn, of Hixson; grandchildren: Adam, whom they raised, Tony, Dustin, and Jordan, all of Oneida, Craig of Pine Knot, Ky., Kyle and Zack, both of Chattanooga, Taylor of Hayesville, NC, and Kyndall of Hixson; great-grandchildren: Zachary, Carmen, Jacob, Benji, Beau, Presley, Elijah, Houston, Kingston, Kamrin, and Mica; brothers: Bill Lambert and Don Lambert, both of Oneida; special nephew and niece: Harry Hembree, and Pat Bogue and husband, Wayne, of Spiceland, Ind.; special friend, Russ Crabtree; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted September 18, at Black Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Keeton and Bro. Crestin Jeremy Burke officiating. Music was provided by Carla Buttram, Crystal Boyatt, John Vernon Thompson, Jr., Marcy Thomas, and Black Oak Baptist Church Choir. Graveside service was conducted September 19, at Troxel Cemetery.
Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida had charge of arrangements.
