Oneida remains a unanimous No. 2 in Class 2A, according to the East Tennessee Sportswriters Poll.

The poll, voted on by sports writers and sports editors throughout East Tennessee, did not penalize the Indians for their 42-38 loss to Greenback last week.

Grace Christian Academy remained a unanimous No. 1 in Class 1A, while Rockwood was third, Oliver Springs fourth and Hampton fifth. Tellico Plains also received votes.

In Class 4A, Fulton was a unanimous No. 1, followed by Greeneville, Catholic, Sullivan South and Carter. Also receiving votes were Elizabethton, Sequoyah and Scott.

In Class 1A, Greenback remained No. 1, followed by Cloudland, Coalfield, Sunbright and Midway. Harriman also received votes.

In Class 3A, Alcoa was No. 1, followed by Gatlinburg-Pittman, Polk County, CAK and a two-way tie between Sweetwater and Sullivan North for fifth. Chuckey-Doak and Pigeon Forge also received votes.

In Class 5A, Anderson County was No. 1, followed by Knox West, Campbell County, Oak Ridge and Tennessee High. Also receiving votes were Daniel Boone, South Doyle and Cherokee.

In Class 6A, Maryville was unanimous No. 1 and Sevierville unanimous No. 2, followed by Science Hill, Morristown East and Dobyns-Bennett. Hardin Valley also received votes.

Yesterday, the latest Associated Press poll was released, with Oneida falling from fifth to ninth in Class 2A.
