HUNTSVILLE — With both the Licensing and Life Safety surveys behind them, Pioneer Heath Services plans reopening the local hospital sooner than originally planned, it was announced at Monday’s regular meeting of the Scott County Commission.

Hospital Administrator Tony Taylor was introduced to the commissioners by Community Development Committee Chairman Paul Strunk, who said, “We’ve got some good news.”

Acknowledging that remark with “Yes, sir!” Taylor stepped up to the podium to bring the commissioners up to date on what has transpired in recent days.
