HUNTSVILLE — An Oneida man accused of shooting to death his "drinking buddy" in September 2011 entered a guilty plea on Monday and was sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Steven C. Sexton, 54, of Oneida, pled guilty before Scott County Criminal Court Judge Shayne Sexton Monday to charges of voluntary manslaughter, along with robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Authorities say Sexton shot and killed 57-year-old Robert W. Letner during a dispute on Sept. 30, 2011.
