Latta Freeman Walker, 90, of Oneida, passed away July 13, 2013, at Cumberland Village in LaFollette.

Born in Rhea County, May 9, 1923, he was preceded in death by his parents, Latta Freeman and Bertha Mae Mitchell Walker.

He attended the University of Tennessee; served in the Army Air Corps during World War II; and was a real estate surveyor. He moved to Scott County in 1966, having lived in Knoxville from 1946 to 1966. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his children: Randolph Gregory Walker and wife Gwen, Beverly Ann Rippey and husband, Garald, Robert Mitchell Walker, and David Reaves Walker; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, special friends: Bill Ray, Paul Roy, Bruce Butler, and Alfred and Sandy Robinson; and many other relatives.

His wish was cremation.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
