HUNTSVILLE — A carnival worker wanted on multiple charges in Georgia was arrested here Saturday after a dispute with his girlfriend.

George M. Hanson Jr., 38, of Forest Park, Ga., was arrested in Huntsville by Scott County Sheriff’s Department deputies. He was working a carnival that was set up on the courthouse mall throughout the Independence Day holiday period.

According to a report filed by Lt. Dennis Chambers, Hanson’s girlfriend approached authorities who were responding to an unrelated call on the mall and told them that she had been beaten up by Hanson.
