James E. (Doe) Roark, 74, of Oneida, passed away June 12, 2013, at North Knoxville Medical Center.

Born in Welchburg, Kentucky, February 12, 1939, he was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Stella Phillips Roark; wives: Juanita Bales Roark and Sandra Strunk Roark; infant daughter, Stella Elizabeth Roark; brothers, Paul and Rex Roark; sister, Estelle Ann Roark; and brother- and sister-in-law: Bobby Joe Chambers, and Delores Terry Roark.

He was a 1958 graduate of Oneida High School, was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Black Oak Baptist Church, and worked for many years as an auto mechanic and service station owner.

He is survived by his children: James H. (Jamie) Roark and wife, Lisa, of Whitley City, Ky., Leshia Rae Terry and husband, Jeffrey, of Rock Springs, Wyo., Jeannie Ann Roark of Pine Knot, Ky., and Angela June Roark of Cleveland; grandchildren: Stephanie Green, Merceadez (Marcy) Roark, and Tobey Roark,  all of Oneida, Star and Shyann Ridner, both of Pine Knot, Ky., Zachary Roark of Whitley City, Ky., and Travis and Jacob Terry, and Isaiah Bell, all of Rock Springs, Wyo.;  great-grandchildren: JayCee, and Milo; brothers: George Roark, and L.V. Roark and wife, Sharon, all of Oneida; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Celebration of life service was conducted June 16, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Keeton and Bro. Crestin Burke officiating. Interment followed at Litton Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
