NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Nashville Metro Police Department is investigating the homicide of a 37-year-old Scott County native.

Fabian Martin, 37, formerly of Helenwood, was discovered dead in Nashville Saturday. In a news release that evening, police said suspects are being sought in connection with his death.

Martin's body was discovered by a passing motorist on Sulpher Creek Road, located near the Briley Parkway in the Joelton community in northwest Nashville. According to police, Martin had been shot several times and shell casings were scattered around the body.

No additional information was immediately available.
