Glen Lloyd, 69, of Helenwood,, passed away May 31, 2013, at home with his family by his side.
Born in Norma, December 27, 1943, he was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Ernie Lawson Lloyd; special person, Flira Byrge; sisters: Rachel Johnson, Betty Rose Lawson, Fayola Murley, Myrtle Lee, and Mary Etta Lloyd; brothers: Carl, Ray, Donald, and Gaylon Lloyd; and father- and mother-in-law, Johnnie and Elzira Gibson.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, where he was a military police officer with a Specialist Four rank.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Mae Lloyd of Helenwood; son, Zachary Patterson of Clyde, Texas; step-daughter, Misty Capley and husband, Shannon, of Oneida; step-grandchildren: Trevor Bowling, and Nicholas and Morgan Capley, all of Oneida; brothers: Jackie and Denise Lloyd of Norma, and David and Rita Lloyd of Oneida; sister- and brothers-in-law: Vivian Lloyd of the New River community; Harold and Debbie Gibson, and Clyde and Sinda Gibson, all of Wakeman, Ohio, Fred and Dorothy Gibson of Vermilion, Ohio, Wesley Johnson of Knoxville, and James Robert Lawson of the Fairview community; special buddy, Lonnie Seabolt; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was to have been conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Bro. James Clifton Pennington and Bro. Jerry Wade Byrge officiating. Music was to have been provided by Stasha Marlow, and Sandy Pennington. Interment was to have followed at Daniel Memorial Cemetery.
