Samantha (Sam) Robbins Crabtree, 46, of Oneida, passed away February 23, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Craig Robbins; grandparents, Audna Ellis, and Melbert Ellis; uncle, Kelly Ellis; cousin, Carmella Burke King; brothers-in-law, Dennis and Eddie Stephens; and father-in-law, Kenneth Stephens.

She was a member of West Oneida United Baptist Church; and was a devoted grandmother, mother, daughter, and sister. She worked very hard to complete the LPN program, and worked many years as an LPN at Scott County Hospital, mainly in the ER. After completing the RN program, she served as the ER director/manager. She was currently employed at North Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville. She was devoted to her family and her patients-helping to organize events to raise funds to make sure every child in need had a coat, no matter the circumstance. She was dedicated to the Relay For Life, St. Jude Hospital, Shriners, and Stephen’s Stocking.

She is survived by her children: Chris Harness and wife, Tracie, of Robbins; and Stevie Dawn Crabtree of Oneida; one grandchild, mother, Diane Sexton; sisters: Laveeda Ellis, Darla Hicks, Libby Shannon and husband, Audie, Tabby Sims and husband, Jeff, and Jennifer Goodman; mother-in-law, Flora Stephens of Winfield; nieces and nephew: Keisha Robbins, Cody Goodman, Lacey Sims, Brittany Goodman, and Shiloh Shannon; special friend, Ihginio Zarate; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was to have been conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, at West Oneida United Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Ellis and Bro. Melvin Stephens officiating. Interment was to have followed at Going Home Cemetery-Oneida.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
