Bobby Lee Phillips, 78, of Helenwood, passed away February 8, 2013 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Oneida, June 14, 1934, he was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie (McDonald) Phillips; and sister, Mary Davis.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a retired lineman for Kentucky Utilities in Paris, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Ella Smith Phillips of Helenwood;  children: Diana Buckman and husband, Mitch of Byrdstown, Joy Plappert and husband, John, of Austin, Texas, and Mike Phillips and wife, Sharon, of Maysville, Ky.; five grandchildren, sisters: Mable Pannell of Brooklyn, New York, June Hanauer of Fort Wayne, Ind., Ruby F. Cross of Oneida, and Pearl Jeffers and husband, Glen, of Helenwood; brother-in-law, Warren Smith of Greenville, Ind.; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted February 11, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Smith officiating.  Interment followed at Cotton Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post # 136 of Oneida.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
