CROSSVILLE — Stone Memorial out-scored Scott's Lady Highlanders in all four quarters here Thursday to avenge a loss in Huntsville last month, earning a 75-62 District 4-AA win.

Jacki Livesay scored 21 points to lead four Panthers in double figures. Kirsten Potter added 12, Faith VanRuden 11 and Abby Griffin 10.

Livesay scored eight of her 21 in the fourth quarter to help the Panthers secure the win.

Monica Roberts scored 14 points to lead Scott. Merry Carson and Victoria Lloyd each added 10.

Scott kept things close in the first quarter, trailing 14-12 after Stone hit three 3-point shots straight out of the locker room. Lloyd scored six in the first to keep things close, but then was limited to just one field goal the rest of the way by a stingy Stone Memorial defense.

The Panthers scored 23 points in the second quarter to build a 37-29 halftime lead, then expanded the lead to 10 — 54-44 — heading into the final period.

In addition to her 10 points, Roberts had seven rebounds, while Lloyd had three steals. Jessica Edwards led on the boards with eight rebounds, while Alex Kazee and Jessica York each added seven rebounds.

The Lady Highlanders shot 25 percent from the field. In a game filled with fouls, Scott made good use of the free throw line, hitting 71 percent — 29 of 41.

SCORING: Scott — Roberts 14, Carson 10, V. Lloyd 10, York 8, Edwards 6, Kazee 4, S. Lloyd 4, Phillips 2, Wright 2, Harness 2. Stone Memorial — Livesay 21, Potter 12, VanRuden 11, Griffin 10, Cokkinias 7, White 5, Bryant 4, Kington 3, Rutledge 1, Thompson 1.
