Shella Kaye Phillips Sexton, 58, of Oneida, passed away January 11, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Born August 15, 1954, she was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Flora Marie Acres Phillips; sister, Judy Novella Kidd; and brothers: Elbert, Otho, T-Man, and Herbert Phillips.
She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell Sexton; three grandchildren, brothers: James Phillips and wife, Ruth Ann, and Carmer Phillips and wife, Sandra; sisters: Drucilla Roysden and husband, Milford, and Jo Ann Boyatt; the father of her son, Eddie Sexton; special sister-in-law, Wilma King; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted January 13, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Kyle Keeton and Bro. Crestin Burke officiating. Music was provided by Denny Neal, Crystal Boyatt, and Jacob Burke. Graveside service was conducted January 14, at Scott County Memorial Gardens.
