Omigene Smith, 84, of Oneida, passed away January 5, 2013, at home with her family by her side.

Born April 19, 1928, she was preceded in death by her parents, Nelon and Lula Stone; husband, Edd Smith; sisters: Marie Thompson and Vera Yancey; and brother, Johnny Stone.

She was a member of First Baptist Church-Oneida; and owned and operated Scott County Florist for 45 years.

She is survived by her sons: Larry Smith of Knoxville, and Michael Smith of Oneida; three grandsons, three great-grandsons, special friends: Ralph and Shirley Jeffers, Imogene Marcum, Bea Huff, Sandra Warren, Brenda Carson, Nicole Carson, Wanda Jones, Stacie Jones, and Jackie Meadows; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted January 7, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. Graveside service was conducted January 8, at Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
