Margaret Jean Mullett, 89, of Knoxville, passed away December 27, 2012, at North Knoxville Medical Center.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, February 10, 1923, she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Hacker McCollum; husband, Donald Erwin Mullett; son, David Mullett; and 10 brothers and sisters.

She was of the Baptist Faith, and was a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

She is survived by her children: Chuck Mullett and wife, Ruthie, of Oneida, and Dee Mullett of Knoxville; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, special friends: Arlene Barry of Woodland, MI, and Joan Venner, Jean Clark, and JoAnn Talsma, all of Hastings, MI; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted December 30, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Davis officiating. Graveside service was conducted January 2, 2013, at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.

Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
